A preparatory meeting was held for the Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMİTT), which will be held in Istanbul between 6-9 February 2024. It will take its place in Akşehir at EMITT Fair, which hosts the largest meeting of the sector with the number of participants and visitors increasing every year.

Work has begun to ensure the participation of our district in the 2024 EMITT-Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair, which will be held for the 27th time at Istanbul TÜYAP Congress and Fair Center, and to promote it in the best possible way. In this context, a meeting was held by Akşehir District Governorship. Akşehir District Governor Dr. Mehmet Özel, Akşehir Mayor Dr. Salih Akkaya, Akşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ender Kalkan, Akşehir Commodity Exchange President Mustafa Doğru, institution representatives and company representatives came together and discussed the work to be done regarding the fair, which plays an important role in promoting the tourism riches and values of our city.
 
 
District Governor Dr. Mehmet Özel stated that such fairs are an opportunity to promote our city. I believe that the promotion of our city will be more efficient if institutions and businesses carry out these studies together. Thank you to the participants and everyone who supported me.
Stating that such fairs and promotional organizations contribute greatly to the promotion of our city, Akşehir TSO Chairman Ender Kalkan emphasized cooperation and drew attention to the importance of acting together.
 
Inviting Akşehir residents living in the region to the Akşehir Stand that will take its place at the fair, Mayor Kalkan said, "We invite all our citizens to our stand at the fair, which we will participate in together with Akşehir District Governorship, Akşehir Municipality, our Chamber and Akşehir Commodity Exchange." said.
